OFFICINA BORBONESE IN COLLABORATION WITH NABA

Officina Borbonese is a project created in collaboration with leading international fashion schools with the aim of creating a community of young creatives who compare, experiment and reinterpret the Borbonese creative codes. The last chapter, signed by NABA, involved the students of the two distinct degree courses Fashion Design and Fashion Marketing Management, besides an excellence of Made in Italy: the Antica Fabbrica Passamanerie Massia Vittorio 1843, a legendary Turin manufacturer like Borbonese. The process was developed in two phases over two academic years. In the first, ten Fashion Design students tackled the creation of a new bag, while in the second phase, another ten students from the Fashion Marketing Management course conceived and produced a digital campaign for its launch.

CRAFTSMANSHIP EXCELLENCE
ANTICA FABBRICA PASSAMANERIE MASSIA VITTORIO 1843

A supplier to the Royal House of Savoy as far back as 1843, with roots in weaving dating back to 1685, Antica Fabbrica Passamaneria Massia Vittorio has embellished and beautified numerous castles, palaces, theatres and noble residences over three centuries. Over the years, the company has always managed to find its own trajectory, constantly seeking innovation and adaptation to the present without renouncing the past, but treasuring it in order to transform and keep up with the times. Today, the work perpetuates the family tradition focused on restoration and historical reconstruction through the Heritage division, but at the same time renews the appeal of the product by adapting it to today's tastes in design and high fashion.

THE BAG
PORTAMI VIA

The Portami Via bag designed by Lucia Clerici, the contest winner, was conceived as an evolution of the Strapcycle project of upcycling materials, this time not from Borbonese ribbons, but from the weaving of precious archival trimmings from Antica Fabbrica Passamanerie Massia Vittorio 1843. A woven basket decorated with long fringes, inspired by the geometric curves of Santiago Calatrava's architectural designs. For the weaving, Lucia used a special hand-woven acetate ribbon from the historical archive of the Antica Fabbrica Passamanerie Massia Vittorio 1843. Portami Via is a unique item that embraces art, culture and heritage.
