Two stories of Italian savoir-faire intertwine and give life to a special, unprecedented project that combines the functionality and innovation of design with the sophistication and recognisability of fashion. Just as the theme ‘Mondi Connessi’ (Connected Worlds) of Fuorisalone 2025 invites us to reflect on how design can be a meeting point between different dimensions of everyday life, so the collaboration between Calligaris and Borbonese goes beyond the simple encounter between design and fashion, celebrating the typically Italian ability to combine tradition and innovation, bringing out the value of a shared vision of beauty. A project that wishes to project itself into the future, rooted in a centuries-old tradition in which every detail is designed to tell a story of quality, passion and design.
QUADROTTA ARMCHAIR
BETWEEN FASHION AND DESIGN
From the dialogue between Calligaris and Borbonese, two brands that have crossed the 20th century and exported an idea of Italian excellence all over the world, comes the ‘Borbonese x Calligaris’ Quadrotta armchair, a new interpretation of the Quadrotta armchair, designed by the Archirivolto studio. The unmistakable design of Quadrotta is dressed for the occasion in OP suede combined with a warm chocolate-coloured shade on the seat: an eclectic furnishing object that welcomes and tells a story, as precious as a leather product and as elegant as the best design. The two precious fabrics are skilfully combined by a bronze-coloured metal frame that precisely follows the curves of the armchair.
